In this episode, I have one of the most valuable conversations because it is information that we can all relate to and immediately bring awareness on why we do the things we do or feel the way we do. I have the pleasure of having an in-depth discussion with licensed psychotherapist and clinical supervisor Christy O'Shoney, about attachment styles, about the research behind them, about what they are and what causes them and how they get manifested in our adult lives. We also discuss the way we can gain awareness of them and start to heal as well as how AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) is and works to regain access to our core relational emotions and teach us how to process these emotions experientially so that we can slowly move from perhaps an anxious or avoidant or disorganized attachment style, to a more secure one. You can find Christy O'Shoney at www.mytherapynyc.com or at www.christyoshoney.com or on Instagram at @mytherapynyc or @christyoshoneytherapy. ]]>
